Slap Ya Mama Apple Cider Sweet Potatoes

APPLE CIDER SWEET POTATOES

 You Need:
3 lbs. Sweet Potatoes, peeled & cubed
1 cup Apple Cider
1 TBSP butter
1 TSP Slap Ya Mama Original Blend

DIRECTIONS: In large pot over high heat combine sweet taters, apple cider & add Slap Ya Mama (or Tony Chachere's) Original Blend seasoning. When it begins to boil, reduce heat, cover & simmer till taters are tender. Mash taters till smooth. (You may add a tad more cider if needed). Stir in butter & add a dash more Original seasoning. Serves 4

Spicy Sweet BACON DIP

A simple & GREAT crowd pleaser - for the Holidays, or just sitting watching football.

Ingredients:
1 - 8 0z. pkg. Cream Cheese
1/2 cup Mayonnaise
1 cup SHARP Cheddar Cheese
3 Green Onions
4 Tbs. SPICY SWEET JALAPENOS chopped
Syrup / Juice from SPICY SWEET JALAPENOS
Cooked Bacon
Ritz Crackers
Corn Chips

DIRECTIONS: Mix first 5 ingredients & spread in a baking dish. Crumble crackers on top. Bake @ 350* for 15 minutes. Top with crumbled bacon, & drizzle with the syrup from SPICY SWEET JALAPENOS. Serve with your favourite corn chips.

Greek Pasta Salad

Ingredients:
16 oz. angel hair pasta
6 oz. can black olives chopped
6 oz. green olives, chopped
5 green onions, chopped

1/2 cup peanut or olive oil
4 Tbsp. mayonnaise
4 Tbsp. Greek seasoning
4 Tbsp. lemon Juice

DIRECTIONS:
1. Cook pasta according to package. Let cool.
2. Chop olives and green onions and set aside.
3. Whisk together mayonnaise, Greek seasoning, lemon juice
, and the oil.

4. Once pasta is cooked and cooled, add chopped veggies and dressing. Mix well and serve.

Turkey, Kale & Brown Rice Soup

Ingredients:
2 Tbs. Olive Oil
1 Large Onion, Chopped
3 Medium Carrots
1 Red Bell Pepper
8 ozs. ground turkey meat, broken into small chunks
1 Tbs. Italian Seasoning
5 cups Chicken Broth
1 x 15 oz. can Diced Tomatoes, Drained
1 Cup Brown Rice (Cooked)
1 Small bunch Kale, center ribes removed, leaves coarsely chopped
1 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. Black Pepper, 8 - 10 dashes

1/4 Cup Freshly Grated Parmesean Cheese

DIRECTIONS: Heat oil in large pot over medium - high heat. Add onions, carrots & bell pepper. Sauts, stirring frquently until it starts to brwn & soften. Season with pinch of salt & pepper. Add turkey & stir until meat turns white & begins to colour very slightly around edges.(5 - 7 minutes). Add Italian seasoning & stir 1 minute.
Add broth, diced tomatoes & rice - bring to a boil. Stir in kale & season with salt, pepper
. Reduce heat to med - low. Cover & simmer until vegetables are tender.

Ladle soup into bowls. Sprinkle with the Parsley & parmesan cheese.
